SEVENTWENTYFOUR | Join us this month on Tuesday evenings (July 7, 14, & 21) as we continue our series called The Peculiar Parable of the Indecisive Disciple.

The Peculiar Parable of the Indecisive Disciple deals with the fact that many Christians live with secret guilt and shame over our personal failures; we see a continual disconnect between what we confess to believe and what we actually do. This series will examine the massive failure of Simon Peter, the disciple who flat-out denied Jesus. This was a crucial point in Peter’s walk as a disciple of Christ, a point that was simultaneously breaking and making him as a man and as a Christian. In this series, we hope to restore and reinforce what it is to be a Christian in the midst of our failures through the sovereign helpfulness of Simon Peter’s failure and restoration as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

SEVENTWENTYFOUR | Join us January and February of 2009 as we begin the new year with a new series called Vintage Jesus. Vintage Jesus is a video series featuring Seattle pastor Mark Driscoll and examines Jesus’ pivotal question from Matthew 16:15 – “Who do you say I am?” There is, in fact, no greater question – no one is more hated or loved than Jesus. This series will examine the Scriptures that give light to 12 pressing issues regarding the nature, humanity and deity of our Savior.

Heath Hardesty is a writer, speaker of the Gospel, musician, and a service plumber by day trade. He lives in Longmont, Colorado with His wife Marla Joy.

Heath holds degrees in English Literature and Religious Studies and is an active member of The Centurions Program, a worldview program of Chuck Colson’s Breakpoint Ministries and is the author of the recent book To the Lion: The Christian in Tension.

He has spearheaded The Renown (www.therenown.com), a grass roots preaching movement to speak against humanism within the Christian church, by way of proclaiming the Gospel of God who is both Creator and Savior.  He believes deeply in presenting the full-Gospel message that is at loggerheads with much of modern “Christianty”; a full-Gospel message that includes such unpopular truths as the Sovereignty of God, the broken nature of humanity, the fear of the Lord, and the exclusivity of Christ as the way and the truth–for in not preaching such truths, man has muted grace and hollowed out the meaning of love.

Dinner will ready at 7:15, and the movie will start promptly at 7:30pm.

Join us Tuesdays in June at 7:30pm in the sanctuary as we start our summer video series, How To Be Rich, by Andy Stanley. The RBC pastors & staff are just finishing up this study, and have been both challenged and encouraged. We think you will be too.

Most of us spend our entire lives trying to get rich, and yet we never stop to consider how to be rich. Enticed by our culture, we focus so much on achieving an ever-increasing standard of living that we never realize when, in fact, we become rich. Because the reality is that if you have more than enough–including food in the pantry, money in a savings account, or clothes in your closet–then you are rich. In this four-part series, Andy Stanley explores a passage of Scripture written specifically to the rich, in order to help us learn how to be rich.
