The Peculiar Parable of the Indecisive Disciple deals with the fact that many Christians live with secret guilt and shame over our personal failures; we see a continual disconnect between what we confess to believe and what we actually do. This series will examine the massive failure of Simon Peter, the disciple who flat-out denied Jesus. This was a crucial point in Peter’s walk as a disciple of Christ, a point that was simultaneously breaking and making him as a man and as a Christian. In this series, we hope to restore and reinforce what it is to be a Christian in the midst of our failures through the sovereign helpfulness of Simon Peter’s failure and restoration as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

SEVENTWENTYFOUR | Join us May 5, 12 & 19 at 7:30pm in the sanctuary as we host a video teaching series by Pastor Andy Stanley called Fight Club. Of all relationships in life, few are as important or as complicated as the relationships between fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, or sisters and brothers. These relationships impact us more than we want to admit. Although we are tempted to write these relationships off when they are painful, we still know that there is something in us that needs that connection.

SEVENTWENTYFOUR | Join us April 14 at 7:30pm in the sanctuary as we watch a video teaching by Pastor John Piper entitled Don’t Waste Your Life. It is easy to slip through life without making your life count – and life should not be wasted. You don’t need to know a lot of things to make your life count, but you do need to know the few great, unchanging and glorious things that matter – and be willing to live and to die for them. This teaching is a passionate plea to a generation – Don’t Waste Your Life!

SEVENTWENTYFOUR | Join us at 7:30 on Tuesday evenings in March for worship, teaching, & discussion. On March 3, 10, 17, & 24 we will follow up to last month’s Vintage Jesus with a new series called Aftermath. This will be a short series of personal reflections, experiences, and observations regarding the person and theology of Jesus given by several leaders in the 724 community. Hope to see you there!

SEVENTWENTYFOUR | Join us January and February of 2009 as we begin the new year with a new series called Vintage Jesus. Vintage Jesus is a video series featuring Seattle pastor Mark Driscoll and examines Jesus’ pivotal question from Matthew 16:15 – “Who do you say I am?” There is, in fact, no greater question – no one is more hated or loved than Jesus. This series will examine the Scriptures that give light to 12 pressing issues regarding the nature, humanity and deity of our Savior.

Join us tonight at 7:30pm in the sanctuary for worship, teaching, and discussion. IF THERE IS A CANCELLATION DUE TO BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS, WE WILL POST THIS ON THE RBC WEBSITE (www.restonbible.org) AND THE 724 BLOG (724.restonbible.org) BY NO LATER THAN 6PM.
